NOVASOVAN AG

Novasovan Ag is an advanced dressing consisting of a non-adherent pad that releases silver ions on an adhesive non-woven fabric or on transparent waterproof polyurethane. It is particularly suitable for AVFs and for accesses intended for transfusions or other therapies.

The prolonged release of silver ions has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action on the exit-site. It also promotes re-epithelialization and tissue repair.

Used in fistulas formed with the Buttonhole venepuncture technique, Novasovan AG is particularly effective in preventing eschar formation and consequently, the risk of its intrusion into the vascular access, which is the main cause of fistula infection.
